We are pleased to announce the engagement of Open Web Technology in the sailing world, with the sponsorship of a Flying Phantom on Lake Geneva. This boat is the pioneer of a new generation of flying catamarans, with edge technology in design, construction and sailing method. Thanks to its carbon fiber curved daggerboards, the Flying Phantom is able to sail planing above the surface of the water, giving the boat its characteristic agility and high performance.
In our view this sailing boat represents best the core values of Open Web Technology, which we always promote in our projects: It showcases innovation in a traditional sector through the latest technology; It is agile and fast thanks to a light weight but strong structure; And it requires a high performance team with a mixed set of skills to be successful.
The boat will participate in the regattas of the 'Swiss Flying Phantom Series', a Swiss championship bringing together all Flying Phantom boats in Switzerland.
Futhermore, it will be present at Business-to-Business sailing events organized on the Swisscom D35, a fully digital experience on board of a fast, high-tech catamaran on Lake Geneva.
