On June 26th 2014, Open Web Technology invited key players of the Banking industry to a breakfast working session in Hotel Mandarin in Geneva on the theme Leveraging cloud based technologies in the finance industry to exchange on how these technologies are starting to disrupt and transform the private banking eco-system Our first guest speaker, the CIO of a major Swiss financial services institution, has illustrated how private cloud-based solutions are replacing a traditional banking IT infrastructure with one that is highly available to its users, on any device, anywhere, anytime. The presented solution provides improved data security and a large choice of applications and collaboration tools, while managing to fulfill regulatory requirements and potentially decreasing overall costs. Moreover, we were joined by the Head of Technology and Privacy at BCCC, a renowned Swiss business law firm, and the vice president of CipherCloud, a global leading data encryption software for cloud solutions. The participants appreciated their vast insight into the opportunities and challenges cloud solutions represent for financial institutions from a legal and data security point of view. We were thrilled by the great interest and participation in the event, as well as to have had such a high level audience, including various CEOs and CIOs from leading companies in the sector. This is actual proof of the key role that OWT plays in the conception, design and delivery of cloud-technology solutions that help our Clients stay at the edge of their digital transformation.
